- August of 2008 I decided to take the road less traveled, namely the Taconic State Parkway, and moved from my childhood Long Island upstate to the little city of Beacon, NY. I commute down to NYC everyday by train where I am a woven textile designer for a reputable home furnishings company. My life is filled with polar opposites; my job in a concrete jungle, my nights and weekends along a river or on "Main Street USA." I'm starting this blog to cover 3 things...my Hudson Valley adventures, design finds that get me excited and hopefully some of my own design trials and tribulations.
